Bangkok Patana School is Thailand’s original British international school, located in South-East Bangkok. Since its establishment in 1957 this not-for-profit school has remained at the forefront of education in Thailand and is today one of the most respected educational establishments in South East Asia catering for over 2,200 students from 65 different countries.
What challenges were you facing?
Our learning community was using a myriad of virtual learning platforms. The diversity was making it increasingly difficult for students and teachers to manage all of the various portals and passwords from one subject to the next; we needed to consolidate our learning environment into one ecosystem.
What has been the outcome?
After a two year study comparing and extensively trialling various virtual learning environments, Firefly was chosen as the primary electronic portal through which all learning interactions take place. Its flexibility has allowed us to integrate legacy platforms (for those that needed time to transition) and provides a consistent experience for the students, parents and teachers.
Why did you choose Firefly?
The ability for the learner to curate their own learning content was the biggest single factor in influencing our decision, particularly as the process is intuitive and fluid; minimal fuss, maximum benefit.
