Introduction
The process of teaching and learning is a fundamentally human interaction between teacher and student. It relies on a relationship between the two parties which is built on trust, respect and an understanding of the importance of working together to achieve their goals.
However, most importantly, it is a process that requires time. Time to share knowledge, consolidate understanding and reflect on what the next steps need to be.
Unfortunately, time is not a commodity that is abundant in schools. Teachers’ days are too often filled with admin and classroom management. If we want to give teachers more time to teach, we need to find ways to make their day-to-day activities simpler and easier to manage.
