Does homework still make the grade?

Homework lunch - London (12th June) and Birmingham (13th June).

from Firefly, in partnership with Education Technology

Earlier this year we commissioned a wide-reaching survey looking at what goes on once homework leaves the classroom - the findings were were covered in the Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail and in over 50 trade publications across the world. Join us as we dig deeper into the findings and what they mean for the future of homework.

We’ll be joined by author and metacognition pioneer Phil Beadle, who will lead the discussion on the findings and what they mean in the real world.

As an extra treat, famous chocolatiers Chief Chocolate Officer will be showcasing their latest range.

Speaker - Phil Beadle

Phil is a sometimes well thought of British educator who has authored ten book on teaching and learning. He is the editor of the How to Teach series, and has written for the Times, the Guardian, The Independent on Sunday and the Telegraph (though he is ashamed of this last one). His series of columns for Education Guardian ran for nine years before being cancelled due to bad behaviour. He is a former UK teacher of the year with 20 years experience of achieving transformational results with students from challenging areas, and is the educational speaker that other educational speakers do not bunk. And he’s been on telly a bit, but so has Ainsley Harriot.
